In a non-chronological order, let me stroll through whatever my poor memory remembers
Hats off Madrasi!
The 12th of January AR Rahman made us proud by winning the Golden Globe awards for "Jai ho" penned by "Gulzar" sung by Sukhwinder Singh (of ALL people).
Congrats Ms Mirza!
Sania and Bupathi won the mixed doubles title at the Australian Open in Melbourne, beating France's Nathalie Dechy and Israeli Andy Ram. Making that Sania's first Grand Slam.
Mixed-doubles is considered passé, consequently asking the poor girl to concentrate on her fitness and singles.
Tnx for the hoRRor movie!
RR of Satyam proved that God won't help even though you donate millions of gold bullions. Some indigestible statistics: 321 pairs of shoes, 310 belts and 13 cars including Mercedes and BMWs. I'm not gasping or sighing. As a matter of fact, what he is is immaterial to us. Anywayss it's interesting to know obsessed people exist.
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Where is the recession tonight?
(I you have heard where is the party tonight, you'll know how to sing this) Why are we taking of recession "now" when recession has been news for the past twelve odd months?
The answer is three letters - IPL "Indian Premier League".
Where is the recession when people are ready to buy Andrew Flintoff at and Keith Pieterson at $1.55 million or why even more?
Good luck to the GAMEblers!
MN Srinivasan of India Cements, better known as the famed owner of Chennai Super Kings who bought MS Dhoni at an exorbitant sum (6.58 Crore rupees) last year, proved again to be a worthy contender buying Andrew Flintoff at 7.55 crore Rupees that is said to be higher than his base price (4.63 Crore Rupees).
Bangalore Royal Challengers settled with Kevin Pietersen at 7.55 crore Rupees, helping Vijay Malya feed his hurt ego (ego hurt from the disastrous play of lady Luck with his team in last IPL). Though cheer-leading tops the glamour quotient of IPL, Malya knows that even imported cheerleaders can neither help cricket nor luck.
Good luck ol'man!
All the things I could do
If I had a little money

ReplyDeleteA.R Rahman deserves a salute. He had been consistently delivering unprecedented beautiful music for a decade or so, especially at this young age.
